The Avataq Cultural Institute offers two grant programs for Nunavimmiut artists and writers.
Artists and writers are invited to submit applications for financial support for a specific project oriented toward career development. A jury will evaluate the applications and select the recipients.
The clarity of the proposal as well as the presentation of a detailed budget are key selection criteria.
For further information or for help in completing an application, please contact Martine Dufour, Aumaaggiivik coordinator (phone 1-800-361-5029 toll-free or write to mdufour@avataq.qc.ca) or Sammy Kudluk, Makivik and Aumaaggiivik liaison (819-964-2925 or s_kudluk@makivik.org).

Art residency in Montreal
The Nunavik Fund also has an art residency program in Montreal (section II). Each year, a Nunavimmiut artist is chosen for a two-month autumn residency in Quebec’s largest city. In the meanwhile, a non-inuk Québec artist is chosen for a similar experience in Inukjuak. The residency includes a fully furnished apartment for eight weeks and a $10,000 grant. See “section II” on the Nunavik Fund application form.
