Nunavik Program for the Arts and Literature was created with the financial contributions of the Kativik Regional Government (KRG) and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ). The Nunavik Fund supports talented artists and writers in a region with limited employment options by contributing to the development of their careers, bringing Nunavik communities and artists closer together and by providing an extraordinary opportunity for artists and writers to broaden their horizons through a residency program. The Nunavik Fund’s component II-A is specifically designed for Inuit artists and writers from the region of Nunavik that could benefit from a 2 month residency in Montreal for research and creation. Component II-B is set up for non-Inuit interested in a cultural experience of 2 months throughout with a residency in the Inuit communities of Inukjuak or Kangiqsujuaq.
