Avataq Cultural Institute is a non-profit organization, created in 1980, dedicated to protecting and promoting the Language and Culture of the Inuit of Nunavik (Northern Quebec). The organization has its head office in Inukjuak, Nunavik, and an administrative office in Westmount, Québec.
AVATAQ is currently seeking a professional and dynamic candidate for the following position: Translator.
For the Inuit Genealogy Program of Avataq Cultural Institute, a non-profit, Inuit organization, with a head office in Inukjuak (Nunavik) and administrative office in Westmount.
The 23rd Nunavik Inuit Elders Conference was held in Kangiqsualujjuaq from October 22 to 24, 2019. Thirty delegates from the fourteen communities in Nunavik including Chisasibi Inuit attended this bi-annual event.
