Departments

Avataq Cultural Institute manages a number of departments and programmes in an effort to fulfill its various mandates and meet its goals to help promote and improve awareness of the culture of the Inuit of Nunavik.

This section provides a brief overview of the projects that Avataq’s departments and programmes have undertaken so far, as well as a sampling of our many archaeological, historical and museal collections. Remember, however, that what you see here represents only a small portion of what Avataq has amassed since its creation in 1985.
