Financing and collaborations

The museology department of Avataq Cultural Institute receives its financing from Makivik Corporation, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and the Quebec department of culture and communications (Ministère de la Culture et des communications du Québec). Heritage Canada contributed to many of the Inukjuak museum projects and to the planning stage of the Puvirnituq project.
